I started listening to Samiam after I heard "Dull" on a comp. I picked up "Astray" and I really liked it. Soon after, I bought this masterpeice, which is by far the best emo cd I own. No other emo cd I own can compare to the depth, emotion and instrumentation on this one. My main complaint on "Astray" was that the druming was a bit weak. Here, the druming sounds excellent, much better than "Astray". Each song varies and is masterful. All the songs on this cd are excellent, and filled to the brim with depth and emotion. From the flavorsome guitar work, to the stellar drum work and the deep lyrics, this album is an emo masterpeice, anyone into the emo scene must get this cd. The cd kicks off with "As Were Told", a fast track with the best druming I've heard from Samiam. Then it goes into the ballad "Capsized" and from there on, the cd does not fail to amaze. It is truly impossible to pick a favorite from this one, each track stands out in its own way, making this cd strong, and solid all the way through. Forget Saves the Day, go pick up this cd to see what real emo is. Samiam are a truly amazing band, and deserve much more attention.
