Reader Reviews
Disclaimer: Owner of all 72 official PJ bootlegs. This show is an acceptable performance by the band, but unfortunately they are plagued by major technical problems. It may have been the weather, or just gremlins, but Stone Gossard and Mike McCready are both having horrific problems with their guitars. Both are very out of tune and Stone's amp is also cutting out intermittently through the show, a problem that downright destroys "Do the Evolution." Troublesome guitars also make a mess of "Given to Fly," "Betterman," "Go," and "State of Love and Trust." Another problem in this show is a set list that doesn't flow very well. Pearl Jam always does a great job mixing up the songs in each show, so you never quite know what to expect. That works great 99% of the time, but tonight the particular ordering of the songs creates a very splotchy and slow-moving show. For example, "Off He Goes" makes an unusually early appearance, but merely wrecks the momentum of the early part of the show. Meanwhile, the night's two best performances, "In My Tree" and "Daughter" (which contains a portion of "W.M.A." in a great jam session) are followed by a very dreary "Insignificance." So overall, this is one of the weakest and most problematic bootlegs in the series, but the difficulties are not entirely the band's fault.  Comment | Permalink |  function showYesNoCommunityResponse(uId,result, value) { var msgLayer = getElement("thanks" + uId); if ( result == "SUCCESS" ) { msgLayer.innerHTML = "Thanks for the valuable feedback you provided to other Amazon.com readers and reviewers.
