Disclaimer: Owner of all 72 official PJ bootlegs. When compared to the overall PJ bootleg series, this show in Dallas is quite a bit below average. I'm sure the folks who went to this concert were adequately entertained, but obviously Pearl Jam released all these bootlegs so fans could experience more than just one live appearance every two years. Since these guys are human, you can't expect every show to blow your mind, especially when you can listen to all of them in bootleg form. The problem tonight is a very obvious lack of cohesion among the band members. Maybe the sound guy screwed up and they couldn't hear each other, or one or more band members was incredibly tired or out of tune and dragged everybody else down with him. Conspiracy theorists can try to figure that one out, but in the end this is not a very impressive performance by the band. The poor showing tonight is saved slightly by a few surprises in the set list, like the long-lost B-side "U." plus "I Got S**t," "Leaving Here," and "Smile" which is a real surprise entry in the encore. In tonight's lesson on history and politics, the band plays "Brain of J" which just happens to be about the JFK assassination, an event that happened right here in Dallas.
