This CD is one of those extremely expirimental messes that attempts to bridge the gaps between total expirimentation and utter sonic garbage. The strange sounds, blaring production and bizarre patterns all work to create a mood of glaring distaste and discontent, but may also simply sound as strange (and underproduced) clatter to many. This record would have possibly been a tad more interesting had the band not tried to capture the rather awkward vibe of Bret Easton Ellis's classic novel "American Psycho". While the music product is disturbing and "odd", it does little to capture the metropolitan madness of said novel and this distracts heavily from the mood-bending impact of the music. They would have been better letting this sort of awkward audio violence stand on it's own two feet, rather than making a weak connection to a popular piece of literature. For noise fans, ambient fans and those who enjoy anything that truly works as a strange musical function...pick this up. Otherwise, don't come to this looking for a new wave mock up of a novel or an industrial strength pounding. This is a strange concept that works, and fails...but stops short of being disinteresting.
