I was a little diappointed with this recording. Parker and Gillespie definely deliver, no question. The sidemen are burnin' it up too but there is no mention of who they are! Who is playing piano on 'Dizzy Atmosphere'? Great ride but no mention of who is who! This sounds like a compilation from several different dates (from different years) but there is almost no info on the jacket. On top of that the recording quality is very weak. It's almost as if someone recorded their 30 year old dusty LPs onto an 8 track only to put it on CD. The balance varies greatly from track to track also. But if you are a die hard bebopper it doesn't matter. The musical product is 5 star. Production gets 1 star for the cool cover.
