There's a lot of music here - 4 CD's in fact - for a small investment, perhaps $20 or so USD. The quantity, is right there. The quality ...musicianship, is 10/10 of course, throughout the set. The sound quality, unfortunately, varies a lot. In some cases, the sound is muffled and is not very listenable. But in most of the set, the sound quality overall is very acceptable, considering the number of years that have since gone by, since the 1950's to this day, past 2000, to 2005, in fact. Has it really been 50 years since Bird invented this jazz sound ? Has it really been 100 years since Bartok and Stravinsky wrote their compositions? Has it really been 100 million years of more, since humanity evolved from cells into GOD's miracles in the form of human beings? To listen to these professionals, demonstrating their art, is truely a priviledge.
