I've been a fan of tool and APC from the beginning and I applaud this latest effort. The people who gave this bad reviews seem to want APC to stay the same. If you really want to hear their older songs then go listen to their older albums! It's that simple. Not many bands these days have the courage to use their platform of music to say what they really want to say. They even throw in a song that's more what fans wanting the usual sound of APC would want: "Passive" and in my opinion it's APC's best song to date. The whole album isn't catchy, but it isn't meant to be. If you want to hear the same old predictable stuff over and over in your artists then listen to mainstream hip hop and R&B. If you just wanna rock then listen to "Passive" and "Freedom of Choice" :)
