AT first, not a big trance fan-but I gotta into oakenfold with some of his songs off the tranceport cd, and i got hooked. this is the second album of his that i purchased, very, very good. i like the second cd much better than the first, its darker, deeper, sounds more layered in my opinion. the thing i like about oakenfold's music is that its varied, between light and hard, and makes for some good study music. this cd is very good, i highly recommend it. on the #2 disc, i especially like the blackwatch north sky remix. the sarah mclachlan remix is really good as well, (never thought i'd be so pumped to hear sarah mclachlan).

Great Dancing and peaceful listening, November 18, 2001
Reviewer:Oakey (Sydney, NSW, Australia) - See all my reviews
I bought this CD after recently buying Swordfish. After listening to it I realised how bad Swordfish really was compared to this. This is so peaceful but uplifting. The songs are quite progressive which I like. The best tracks would have to be Timo Maas's Ubik and Bunker's Decent. Really good breakbeats and trancy tunes. However I think the Bullet in the Gun song stops it from getting 5 stars. It is totally out of place and just sounds stupid. I love this CD and I love Oakey. I want to buy Resident when I get $82 Australian dollars!! I can't wait.

There was supposed to be a dance party featuring Oakenfold a block away from my home at the fairgrounds and I was planning on sending my wife to her mother's house, sedating my dog, and walking over to see Oakenfold perform his magic, but the redneck hicks that run this town got the party moved out of the county and I didn't get to go...Anyway, to get revenge on the school district for making it so hard on me to get my stepsons graduated I was planning on running for the school board when I retire, but as I keep listening to these two CDs my tendency is to run for city council instead to give those jokers some grief for making that dance party with Oakenfold move...These CDs are great for 3rd shift commutes or any other night time highway driving...

Just a short review. I bought this from a high street record store and haven't stopped playing it since. Both CD's are equally as good as each other so you never know which to play. It's a typical Oakey style with trancey music as well as chilledish sort of stuff. it's makes great music to put on in the background, if your going out, basically anytinme really!Anyway, I thoroughly recommend that if you're interested in Oakey, you buy this CD, It's absolutely kickin'

Great with one complaint, April 21, 2001

Great album. Very good track selection...that's what I'd say about "another world" too. What would possess Oakey to put that many of the same songs on two "different" albums? Seaman wouldn't do it.

Reviewer: A music fan
I have been on a mad search for a CD that encapsulates the experience that I had seeing Oakey live earlier this year and this is that album. Why we can't have these types of records released in the US still amazes me but hopefully that will change as trance music garners a wider following. This CD is a must own for any Oakey fan and it has eclipsed GU13 (Sasha-Ibiza) as my favorite trance album.
