    Reader Reviews
Mozart is my favorite classical music composer and I have collected a number of recordings of his works. This album, a compilation of Adagio recordings, is a true masterpiece that will please any music lover. The twelve pieces on this CD were well-chosen and well-organized. The opening Piano Concerto No. 21 is a beautiful piece played by the talented Jeno Jando, as is the Adagio from Piano Concerto No. 23. These two piano works are superb and clearly demonstrate how Mozart mastered the art of the piano concerto, especially when it comes to the Adagio. The Adagios from Divertimentos Nos. 2 and 15 are also present and in my opinion are the best pieces on the entire album. The soft, flowing melodies and diversity in Divertimento No. 15 is captivating, and it easily qualifies as one of my personal favorites. Serenades Nos. 10 ("Gran Partita") and 13 ("Eine Kleine Nachtmusik") are also featured on this album. The German Wind Soloists perform a beautiful rendition of the Adagio from Serenade No. 10. The Romance piece from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is likewise wonderfully performed. This album also features the Andante from String Quartet No. 21 and a couple of Adagios from works featuring the violin. The violinist Takako Nishizaki performs well on both violin pieces, accompanied by the Capella Istropolitana, which is featured on a number of the tracks on this album. The delightful Andantino from the Flute and Harp Concerto in C major is also included along with the Adagio from Flute Quartet No. 1. Lastly, to end the album is the unmatched Adagio from the Clarinet Concerto in A major. I have a few other recordings of this Clarinet Concerto and love to listen to the flowing sounds of the instruments as they release the magic of the music. The genius of Mozart is clearly present on every piece on this album. I strongly recommend this album as an addition to any classical music collection, whether you like Mozart or not, as you will not fail to be impressed. When you listen to this album, you cannot help but be carried away by the beautiful melodies into a state of bliss.....
