Creme de Menthe' says it all. This man was a master at piano creschendos that were like rolling waves that sneak up on you and leave breathless after the fact.While the live tracks are from a still available on a couple Concord releases, this is a great introduction of what Gene Harris was about. The quality of the recording is A+ and you can rest assured this is one you will play over and over, no matter what your taste..which has got to be good! The cut Creme de Menthe' was a Erroll Garner standard that Harris makes worth the price of admission!
