Reader Reviews thou hast a firm grasp of the language. Like most German industrial bands that sing in English, The Fair Sex suffers from some laughably poor lyrics. A chorus that begins with the words "The plastic cosmic witch" cannot be listened to without a cringe or a laugh depending on your take. Its almost as if they opened a German/English dictionary and picked random words out of context. This is my one complaint about this album, but it turns out to be quite minor. The Fair Sex's industrial/pop sensibility is apparant as always, something like a meeting of Depeche Mode and KMFDM for a lack of a better description. Despite the atrocious lyrics the vocals are exemplary, only a tinge of distortion allowing the talent of the vocalist to show. Unlike many industrial bands, this one is blessed with exceptional guitar work, though to be sure the guitar only complements the rhythm and the melodious sequencing. A few of the tracks are duds or filler pieces, but with sixteen mostly exceptional tracks you can't go wrong with this album or any of their other releases.
