This partnership extended further when Kenny and Luke began London's longest running mid-week house night 'Space' at Bar Rhumba. While I haven't yet allocated a decent amount of time to properly review the Derrick Carter cut, it's only because I've been spending so much time examining Luke Solomon's side...I think this is an accurate indication as to the quality of this 2 CD set. Luke, as expected, provides only the finest cuts of funky, soulful, and abstract house available at his fingertips...I just can't get sick of this CD. And while I've only given a cursory listening to Derrick's contribution so far, I will say this much: what I've heard transports me back to the days at Shelter, Mad Bar and upstairs Karma -- real heads feel me. How can you go wrong with this dynamic duo? Bumping these discs make the left coast feel like home. Blaze it and start jacking.
