I originally bought this CD when I first heard Will Downing's version "Stop, Look, Listen to your Heart". The representative from Polygram who thought to join this R&B Baritone singer and this soulful, jazz Saxaphone player together for a CD is a sheer, true genius.......Will Downing and Gerald Albright truly make magic on this CD and, in turn, make this CD a true Masterpiece........a masterpiece of Jazz, R&B, and Classical music all rolled into pleasurable rhythm. Play close attention to the title tune "Pleasures of the Night" (which gets this CD off to a sensational beginning), to the Beatle's "Michelle", Stevie Wonder's "Girl Blue", to the Stylistics "Stop, Look, Listen to your Heart". By the way, don't be fooled by the title.......this CD is truly a pleasure for listening anytime, not just for the night. This CD was a truly enjoyable listen when I was recovering from surgery during January/February, 1999, and it is still a regular listen on my Chevrolet Cavalier's CD and, on Saturday's during household chores, on my apartment's home stereo. I actually played this CD at my younger sister's home during a family gathering and she bought the CD a few days later. Mind you, when she was younger, she was a fan of 80s Punk and, today to an extent, still tends to buys CDs from what she hears on "Popular Radio". If she is enjoying this CD, virtually anyone can enjoy this CD.
